Problems viewing CICLOPS images/movies may be encountered because of heavy traffic to this site and therefore excessively slow download times. Alternatively, viewing problems may be related to software on the viewer's local machine that rejects pop-up windows. In the first case, returning to this site at a later time, when traffic has slowed, will accelerate download times. To view a file once downloaded, look at the file extension (the three letters at the end of the file name) and follow the instructions below. JPG, PNG, and GIF files are image files and can be viewed in most image viewing or image editing programs, such as Gimp, Photoshop, or Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. TIF image files may be problematic in some image viewing programs; most notably Windows Picture Viewer and Quicktime. It is recommended to use Photoshop, GIMP, or IrfanView. If this is not possible, it is recommended to use the PNG image file instead as both the TIF and PNG are lossless images of the same quality. MOV files are Quicktime movies and can be viewed using the Quicktime viewer available at Apple.com. MPG files are MPEG movies and can be viewed with several different video players including Windows Media Player. SWF files are Flash movies and can be viewed using the stand-alone Flash player available at Macromedia.com.
