This image was taken during Cassini's closest-ever approach to Enceladus on March 9, 2005. The image was taken in visible light with the narrow angle camera from a distance of approximately 165,000 kilometers (102,500 miles) from Enceladus and at a Sun-Enceladus-spacecraft, or phase, angle of 124 degrees. Resolution in the image is about 990 meters (3,250 feet) per pixel. |
