Saturn's Dancing AurorasIn the first-ever video showing Saturn's auroras, Cassini has spotted the tallest known "northern lights" in the solar system. (News release can be found here.)
The ghostly, rippling auroral curtains captured in this movie reach more than 1,200 kilometers (750 miles) above the edge of the planet's northern hemisphere.
